The Waffle Games began in 2018 as a "mini-convention" for the Esports and Game Design Collective of Hunter College. Then, an idea was born. What if clubs across CUNY collaborated to make a CUNY-wide gaming convention? After finding out students from other colleges were attempting to sneak into our 2019 convention, we made the decision to go public in 2020!

The mission of the conference is to make the games industry a more affordable and accessible career path by offering all groups to exhibit for free, and to promote affordable games industry education. However, we are also here to celebrate games in all of their forms.
